WHITEHEAD STREET
POTTERY
| Charles Pearson and Timothy Roeder, the duo behind Whitehead Street Pottery have been created unique vessels combining wheel thrown with hand built additions for many years. There style that has developed over the years is well known and recognized throughout the country. In an adaptation of a primitive Japanese firing method (raku), the pieces are glazed with metallic oxides, fired to 1900 degrees Fahrenheit and buried in seaweed giving them the primitive deep crackle and metallic characteristics.
